In 2021, Cape Fear Garden Club awarded our work at Helms Port Neighborhood entrance with the Beauty Spot Outstanding Landscape Award. The award was given for our design, care and maintenance of the location’s berms filled with grasses, flowering trees, flowers, and shrubs.

Irrigation & Drainage
Mattis Landscaping is NC Certified Irrigation Specialists which is a fancy way of saying we know what we are doing when it comes to irrigation. To keep the landscape thriving long after installation, we spend ample time designing irrigation systems. This includes new systems, repairing older systems, and providing ongoing system repair.
In addition to Irrigation, another important element is planning a drainage system in an outdoor area. We work with our customers to plan for French drains, rain barrels, rocks, rain gardens, gutters and underground draining to avoid damaging erosion and run-off.
Erosion Solutions: Riprap Sills, Revetments, & Bulkheads
Mattis Landscaping specializes in working with CAMA (Coastal Area Management Act) to obtain permits and install riprap revetments, riprap bulkheads, riprap offshore sills and emergency work related to hurricanes and or tropical storms throughout coastal North Carolina.
